Attractions:

3 minutes away is Basin Head Fisheries Museum. This is a fishing harbour converted to a recreational swimming area and boasts some of the finest beaches on PEI.

Just 10 minutes away is Elmira Railway Museum and the entrance to the Island wide "Rails to Trails" system, superb for walking or biking.

At East Point, just a few kilometers from Elmira, a trip to the lighthouse yields a dramatic view of the "meeting of the tides", where the waters of the Gulf of St. Lawerence blend with those of the Northumberland Strait.

Golfing is as close as 15 minutes away. Enjoy some of the finest Island courses, such as the Links at Crowbush Cove, Brudenell and Dunderave.

Souris, the main commercial centre of Eastern PEI and the terminis for the ferry service to Isle de la Madeleine is 10 km away. The town offers a liquor store, banks, grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping.

Charlottetown, the birthplace of Confederation, is a scenic 70 minute drive where you can enjoy theatre, restaurants, shopping, and heritage sites.

Greenwich, a newly opened extension to the PEI National Park is a 25 minute drive along the north shore. This park features a dramatic sand dune system protected by Parks Canada. The park provides interpretative programs for its visitors.

Cavendish tourist area is located 70 minutes away, featuring the PEI National Park. Visit Green Gables House (home to LM Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables stories), amusement parks, restaurants, and giftshops galore!
